Be sure the indicator LED is not pink — ideally it will be blue with occasional flashes of pink.</span></p><p><span>MINI MIX 2 does not provide power for microphones, such as condenser and electret microphones, including most lapel or lavalier mics. Microphones of this kind will require an additional preamplifier when used with the MINI MIX 2. Please choose dynamics microphones for use with the MINI MIX 2.</span></p><p><strong><span>FAQ</span></strong></p><ul><li><span><span>The mixer is distorting. What do I do?</span><br>​<span>Answer 1</span><br>Please turn down the channel volumes until the distortion stops, and use the master volume and the volume on your speakers to make the volume louder as needed. If you are using headphones or the volume level is not loud enough, use the headphone output which has much higher output levels. Note: The RCA and headphone outputs are intended for connection to an amplifier or powered speakers and are not affected by the master volume level.<br><br><span>Answer 2</span><br>The mixer output is overloading the speakers, amplifier or other device connected to the mixer output. Lower the master volume or headphone volume, and turn up the volume on the speakers or whatever device is connected to the mixer outputs.<br>&nbsp;</span></li></ul>
